OEM Remanufacturing Facility

This 50,420 sq. ft. office, service and warehouse addition was designed to complement the 300,000 sq. ft. existing facility that was completed in 2006.

The new addition consisted of 10,000 sq. ft. of office space on two floors and 40,000 sq. ft. (+/-) of service and warehouse space. A new 40 ton overhead crane, several 5 ton jib cranes and a high tech paint booth were incorporated into the design of the service/warehouse area. Additional staff areas included service and warehouse offices and a new staff room including an outdoor deck area. The new addition was designed to enhance the existing facility with a combination of curtain wall, bent metal panels and freezer panels complementing the existing building design. Although different, the new OEM addition blends seamlessly into the existing building addition, effectively meeting all program and functional requirements, cost effectively.

As a design team, Barr Ryder was honoured to have received a runner up citation for one of the top industrial projects of 2009 as selected by Alberta Construction Magazine.
