Suncor Firebag 3 Village Complex – Core Building

The new Suncor Firebag 3 Village Complex is designed to be one of the largest core service and residential facilities constructed in Northern Alberta. The new permanent 7,645 sq. m. core facility is designed to support more than 1,500 modular residential units to be phased into the complex over the next three years.

This massive undertaking coordinating two distinct wings of 1,500 modular residential units connected to the permanent core building. The three storey residential units connect to the core building through a series of modular corridor units. Laundry and service areas were also integrated into the modular wings.

The core structure features a full service kitchen offering breakfast, lunch and dinner for more than 1,500 residents and guests. A leisure area provides a variety of facilities for fitness, games and personal recreation. The main lobby area offers a personal variety of services and administration areas to support the huge modular residential complex.
